I can see that when combotree is loaded with big number of items (more than 1000) it takes 1-2s to show drop down panel.
It happens every time. Does not matter if it is first show or not.

The combotree only sends one request to remote server. Displaying the drop-down panel does not make the request to server.

Yes, I know.
The question is in time between the moment when I press button with arrow and moment when I see panel with tree.

The question is still active.

Time goes and number of items in combotree is getting bigger and bigger.
It is more or less OK to wait 3s (2500+ items; Firefox) till panel opens when user clicks on down arrow for the first time, but if I close panel with tree and call it again clicking on down arrow it takes the same 3s to show.
